A Grounded Reflection

On a practical level, this week has been full. I’ve laid strong foundations for the business - from new meetings to community connections, to planning the journey ahead for Willow Tree Therapy.
One of the most fulfilling decisions I’ve made was choosing to offer my time to an organisation that supports mental health in the community. Their mission to provide accessible, compassionate support aligns deeply with my own values as a therapist and coach. Volunteering felt less like something I “should” do, and more like something I’m meant to do.
I’ve also been to visit a local business group, which I was incredibly impressed with. Particularly the warmth when I arrived, the support in how to present myself (even though I’ve nearly 20 years experience, you still sometimes get the nerves beforehand - which I’ve taught myself to know it shows I care). Meeting local business owners and leaders gives me a sense of inspiration that I too can succeed with Willow Tree, but success for me comes in the form of supporting my clients and seeing positive results.
And alongside all that? I reconnected with old friends, found encouragement in unexpected places, and reminded myself that achievement doesn’t always look like hustle - sometimes it looks like passion for what you do.
Until next time,
Dan
